Mark Twain once said, “Never let the truth get in the way of a good story”. How do you remember the founding of our country, The Truth? A Good Story? Anything? In this lecture we’ll talk about the poem (Paul Revere’s Ride), the painting (Washington Crossing the Delaware), Bunker Hill, The Declaration of Independence, George Washington’s false teeth, and a whole lot more. GET READY TO HAVE SOME FUN!

About Your Presenter
MY MISSION: To motivate you to learn more about the founding of our country. The people and events that impacted and shaped the world we live in today. I want to prove to you that HISTORY DOES MATTER. Graduate of Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!) Officer in the United States Army National Park Service volunteer docent at Washington's Headquarters, Morristown, NJ. (Retired after 8 great years) Recipient of the National Park Service Centennial Volunteer Challenge Award. Collector of original historical autographs. Enrichment Lecturer: American Cruise Lines

Hybrid meetings are held both in person at the Zion-Benton Public Library and on Zoom.
Accessing the Zoom Meeting
You Must Register to attend this free zoom presentation. Send in an email your first and last name and inform whether you are a member or not, and your email address. Send that email registration to ziongenealogy@gmail.com by the Sunday evening prior to the zoom meeting. You will receive an email back giving you the details to link in to the meeting on Monday. Make sure that you've installed the Zoom software before the event and you'll use that link to join the meeting when it begins.
